The Parliamentary Committee will exchange views with stakeholders including editors, journalists and stakeholders in the Digital Security Bill, 2018. At the same time, it has been decided to bring an amendment to the Parliament and present a contemporary law in Parliament.

The decision was taken at the 24th meeting of the Parliamentary Statistical Committee on the Ministry of Posts Telecommunications and Information Technology held at the Sangsad Bhavan on Sunday, and the meeting was chaired by the committee president Imran Ahmad.

Minister of Law, Justice and Parliament Anisul Haque and Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, Motazzem Hossain Ratan, Shaukat Hachanur Rahman (Rimon) and Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalita attended the meeting on special invitation.

The president of the committee, Imran Ahmad, said in this regard, "The law is for the welfare of the state and the people. There is an opportunity to take an opinion to enrich the law, so we want to share a timely law in the parliament, including editors, journalists, and all stakeholders."

The Parliament Secretariat has discussed the bill in detail in the meeting. The bill has proposed to bring amendments to the bill and it has been decided to discuss it with the stake holders.

In the meeting, the senior secretary of the Legislative Division of the Ministry of Law, the Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, along with the Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications The concerned officials were present.
