On Sunday (November 01), the newly joined secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, BCS Postal Association, was organized at the Dhaka Digital Platform. The minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the reception of Afzal Hossain.
BCS Postal Association President Jehsan Islam presided over the reception and other leaders including General Secretary of the organization Harun Ur Rashid spoke.
According to the election manifesto, Bangabandhu Satellite-2, Tritit Submarine Cable Connection and 5G launch by 2023 highlighted the action plan of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications.
He said, we have to make the post office digital, the bridge of civilization, along with the implementation of this grand plan of digital great construction.
Inviting postal officers to work dedicatedly in this regard, the minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken and implemented various groundbreaking programs in the infrastructure development of the post office in the last 11 years.
The minister said that they will be doing everything possible, including proper training, to utilize the existing infrastructure of the post office as a digital soldier, saying that it is not necessary to be an expert for digital skills. If you know computer and internet browsing, it is possible to do digital work.
