2 people have been arrested and 4 computers and various fake IDs have been seized in Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur for forging jail cards, NID and birth certificates.
Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Mobarak Hossain conducted this mobile court in Hazirhat Bazar on Wednesday (06 May) afternoon.
The arrested are Shimul Majumdar and Sudheb Majumdar, the owners of Shimul Studio. The owner of Rupnagar Studio was not present.
Shimul Majumdar, Sudheb Majumdar is the son of Bijus Majumdar of Char Jangalita village and owner of Shimul Studio. Rubel is the son of Abul Kashem of the same union and the owner of Rupnagar Studio.
present 2 shops in Shimul Studio of Bazar and 2 shops of Rupnagar Studio were seized by the evidence of counterfeiting of the same jailcard, NID and birth certificate. The computers of 4 shops were seized.
According to the upazila executive office, a Bhuta fisherman named Salim went to Hazirhat Unit for a fishing card and when he informed the upazila executive officer, he conducted the mobile operation.
Salim said that the fisherman made the card from 1 studio in Hazirhat Bazar.
