The High Court has stayed the decision to cancel the candidature of Jated Khan in the Bangladesh Artists Association elections for the next 7 days.
Following the appeal made by Jatad Khan, a double bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khondkar Diliruzzaman gave this order on Monday (February 7).
In this, the post of general secretary of Nipun is also suspended in the election of Film Artists Association.
Jased Khan said, ‘The court has asked the Appellate Board not to disturb the duality of the post of editor. He said, ’My rights have been returned. I have won the election in a fair election. But on the basis of an illegal letter, I have been declared a judicial person."
The defeated general secretary candidate Nipun appealed to cancel the candidature of Jayd Khan, accusing him of ‘vote buying’, whether the post or candidature of Jaded Khan will be canceled in view of that application.
In view of that, on Monday (February 7), Chitranak Jaded Khan appealed to the High Court challenging the validity of canceling the candidature of the Appellate Board.
