Prothom Alo journalist Shamsuzzaman Shams got bail in the Digital Security Act case. The court said that his bail will remain in place until the police report is filed.
On Monday (April 3), the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of Dhaka granted his bail application.
Shamsuzzaman's bail was released on Monday morning His lawyer appealed to the CMM court, before he denied bail on Thursday and sent him to jail on Independence Day. A reporter, angry at the report, filed a case under Ramna Thana, Digital Security Act, which was made the main accused along with Prothom Alo Savar representative Shamsujjanaman and the editor Matiur Rahman.
Meanwhile, under the same law, another case has been filed against Tejgaon police station and Shamsujjanaman.
