Knowing that the people of the country are good, they are working towards a better life, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "When I work for the people, I do not get any fatigue."
Sheikh Hasina said these things at the Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) blanket acceptance and check distribution ceremony at the Prime Minister's relief store at Ganabhaban on Saturday (02 November).
BAB leaders commented on the Prime Minister's relentless activities on the occasion, "You do so much work, don't get tired."
In response, Sheikh Hasina said, "I am so tired, I am not tired. I am not tired so much, and when I work for the people, I don't get tired. This is a reality. I have given myself to the people."
Bangabandhu's daughter said, "My father has made this country independent. He had a dream that he wanted to do it for people. He could not do that. I took it as a donation. If the people of my country are a little better, that is the most important thing for me. I have no work to do for that."
The Prime Minister said that they should work for the people of the country, give them a beautiful life. At least they can eat two handfuls in two meals. Their accommodation, treatment, education, their life should be a little better.
Highlighting the progress of the country under the leadership of the Awami League government, Sheikh Hasina said, "We have only one dream, Bangladesh will take dignity in the world. We have been able to achieve that to a large extent. The world does not look at Bangladesh with pity anymore, it looks at Bangladesh with pity and respect."
The Prime Minister said that the current government is implementing short and long mechanized plans in a developed, prosperous Bangladesh, Bangladesh will grow as a developed, prosperous, peaceful country.
I thank BAB for giving blankets to the Prime Minister's relief for the cold people and knowing the urge to fulfill their promised social barriers to private banks, Sheikh Hasina said, whatever we do for the welfare of the people, you will help us all, even if you are a natural duo, thank you for the blankets. Thank you for the more people we can help you.
‘The financial condition of the people of our country is getting better. I hope you will not need so much (cooperation) in the future. For this you are cooperating for the welfare of the people, you will also get a gift from Allah.’
Highlighting the various steps and successes of the government in the economic development of rural people, the Prime Minister said that the countrymen are getting the result of the economic dynamic that we are trying to create, the people of the village are getting the results.
Highlighting the government's neo's step to make people used to using banks, the Prime Minister further said that we have not taken steps to make people use the bank to open a bank account.
In the event, 36 private banks under BAB will give a 2.7 million blankets to the Prime Minister's relief fund for distribution among the helpless people in the coming winter. Besides, the Prime Minister received a check of Tk 10 crore from Dutch-Bangla Limited to buy more blankets.
BAB Chairman Nazrul Islam Majumdar also spoke on the occasion, Prime Minister's private industry and investor advisor Salman F Fazlur Rahman, Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed and others were also present.
