On the seventh anniversary of Kal Kantha, the journalist of Lakshmipur was given a posthumous award.
On Tuesday (January 10) at 11 am, a discussion meeting was held at Lakshmipur Press Club.
Laxmipur Government College Principal Professor Main Uddin Pathan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Nuruzzaman, District Information Officer Abdullah Al Mamun, Senior Journalist Kamal Hossain and Kaler Kantha representative Kajal Katse spoke.
District Volunteer League President Belat Hossain Belal, District Jubo League Joint Convener Sheikh Jamal Ripon, Zilla Parishad Member Jubo League Leader Mahbubul Haque, District Chhatra League President Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohail, General Secretary Rakib Hossain Lotus and others were present.
The journalists who received the posthumous award are - Lakshmipur Press Club founder president Golam Rahman, former news distributor Zakir Hossain, former representative of Ittefaq MA Moeed, former representative of today's paper Saiful Alam Khan, former representative of our community Monotar Rahman Khokon and former representative of Manabzamin Babar Mahmud.
