The court acquitted 33 people including Eden Women's College Chhatra League President Tamanna Jasmine Riva and General Secretary Rajita Sultana from two separate cases of fighting in the Eden College campus.
Yesterday, Monday (June 19), the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahmed ordered the exemption during the two cases of the police.
Sub-Inspector Shaukat Mahmud, General Registration Officer of Lalbagh Police Station of the court confirmed the poison.
On this day, the leaders of the BCL appeared in court, which neither party has filed a complaint against the police report and the court took cognizance of the police report and ordered their release.
According to the sources of the case, on September 25 last year, BCL president Riva and general secretary Rajita's supporters had a fight with the supporters of the vice-presidents at the Eden College campus.
According to the court sources, two separate cases have been accused in a total of 33 people. One case is 19 accused, the other 14. The 14 accused in one case are Riva, Rajita, Kamrunnahar Jyoti, Jinnat Jahan Lima, Bizli Akhtar, Soma Mallik, Shahana Rahman, Shirin Sumi, Farzana Neela, Ritu Akhtar, Mim Islam, Nuzhat Faritha Roksana, Noor Jahan and Anka Tabas.
Among the accused in the 19 cases are Vice President Zebun Nahar Sheela, Marjan Akhtar Urmi, Kalpana Begum, Sonali Akhtar, Sushmita Bazhai, Sadita Jahan Sathi and Jannatul Ferdous, Joint General Secretary Fatema Khanam Binti and Organizing Secretary Samita Akhter Baisakhi.
