The Independence Teachers' Council has formed a human chain in Lakshmipur on various demands including the employment of non-MPO educational institutions and the employment of teachers and staff. They held this program for an hour in front of the District Commissioner's office on Sunday (September 17) morning as part of the central programme.
Akhbatak of Independence Teachers Council, AKM Mahbubur Rashid Chowdhury spoke under the chairmanship of teacher leaders Ruhul Amin Master, Manjurul Haque, Ahmad Mizanur Rahman, Kamal Hossain District Bangabandhu Parishad President Shahjahan Kamal and others spoke.
The speakers said that the teachers of private educational institutions strongly demanded to increase the 5% increase of Baisakhi allowance, full festival allowance and work nationalization of the teaching staff, later education through the District Commissioner. The leaders presented the memorandum to the minister.
Teachers of Ratapur, Ramgati, Ramganj and Kamalnagar upazilas participated in the human chain.
