yir chi Three more people have died in a bus-microbus collision in the Lohagara area of the Cox's Bazar highway, the number of people killed in the accident, the death toll is 10. Two more have been injured.
The accident took place at Chunati Jangalia area of the upazila around 7:30 am on Wednesday (April 2), but the names of the victims were not immediately known, and the OC Md. Arifur Rahman confirmed the matter.
A bus passenger who had lost control of the Chittagong-bound Relux transport bus on Wednesday morning, said the driver had tried to stop the bus several times, and the bus collided with a microbus coming from the opposite direction, killing seven passengers on the spot.
The locals said that in this Mahasaj, the salt-carrying transport from Cox's Bazar is a result of salt water and there are many slippery slippers and thus the bus is lost.
Earlier, on the day of Eid, 5 people were killed in a head-on collision between two buses at the same place on Monday, while two microbuses lost control and 8 people were injured in the ditch.
