The deep depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a strong cyclone and has been shown to have warning signals on four sea ports of the country, including Mongla and Patra sea ports and Chittagong and Cox's Bazar sea ports have been asked to show off the number 6.
On Saturday (May 25) night, weatherman of the weather department Md. Tariful Neoz Kabir gave this information.
Md. Tariful Neoz said, ‘The deep depression has become a cyclone ‘remal’ around 6 pm. Due to this, Patra and Mongla seaport have been asked to show danger signal number 7. This is the case, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar have been asked to show the number 6 danger signal.’
He said, ‘The cyclone was 365 km from Patra sea port, 405 km from Mongla, 400 km from Cox's Bazar and 455 km from Chittagong sea port.’
Meanwhile, the cyclone has started raining in various places including Barisal, Bhola, Pirojpur and other places since the evening. Due to the influence of the remal, it has been raining in several areas of the capital. Since 8 pm on Saturday night, Badda, Bhatara, Baridhara, Gulshan-2, Banani and Shyamoli areas have been raining and various areas have been raining.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Odadar Observation Team (BWOT) has known that the deep depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a severe cyclone-rival, which may cross the coast between May 26 and May 27 as a maximum category-1 energy storm.
