In Lakshmipur, the cyclone shelter will be open to counter the whirlwind ‘Mokha’, Deputy Commissioner Md. Anwar Hossain Akand.
On Thursday (May 11) at noon, the Deputy Commissioner confirmed this information by attending a disaster preparation meeting in his office in his office.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that there will be 64 medical teams in addition to the cyclone shelters, and the disaster relief fund has collected 8 lakh 12 thousand taka and 420 metric tons of rice. An emergency disaster management control room and helpline number will be launched.
All government officials and employees have been directed to stay in disaster workplaces, and volunteers will work with the protection of humans and domestic animals from disasters, including public representatives and Red Crescent.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Serbi) Mohammad Noor-e Alam and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Imran Hossain were present, along with the district of Ramgati, Kamalnagar, Sadar and Ratapur upazilas along the Meghna river.
