The interim government has started providing financial support to the families who were injured in the July uprising and the families of the martyrs. This program was officially inaugurated by the chief advisor at 10 am on Monday morning in the midst of the handling of financial checks between the martyred families and 7 injured people. Along with this, the Ministry of Freedom Fighters along with the families of the injured and martyred families will be informed about the programs undertaken by the government for the martyrs and July fighters of July.
According to the decision of the government, the July coup The martyrs will be called ‘July Shaheed’ and the injured will be called ‘Juli Joddha’ and will receive identity cards.
Each martyr's family will get a one-time financial assistance of Tk 30 lakh, and in the financial year 2024-25 through the National Savings Certificate, the National Savings Certificate will be given an allowance of Tk 20,000 through the National Savings Certificate in July. In addition, each martyr's family will be given an allowance of Tk 20,000 per month. The working members of the martyr's family will get priority in government and semi-government jobs.
The July warriors will get two medical facilities as per category A. 5 lakh rupees will be given to the seriously injured in category A, out of which 2 lakh rupees will be paid in cash (through bank cheque) in the financial year 2024-25 and 3 lakh rupees in cash (by bank check) in the financial year 2025-26.
In addition to this, every July warrior will get a monthly allowance of Tk 20,000, and he will receive lifetime medical facilities in various government hospitals and will get medical services in domestic and foreign hospitals on the recommendation of the medical board.
‘According to Category B, one-time payment of Tk 3 lakh will be given to the fighters in July. In the financial year 2024-25, Tk 1 lakh will be paid in cash (through bank check) in the financial year 2025-2026. In addition, monthly allowance of Tk 15,000 will be provided; monthly, the government/semi-official employment will be available on the basis of necessary training and priority.
The identification cards will be issued to the warriors, they will get various benefits from the government by displaying their identity cards, so far the list of 834 martyrs in the mass uprising has been published in the form of gazette. The list of the injured has also been prepared in the gazette form very soon.
