The President said these things in a commemorative speech at a special session on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee (50th anniversary) of the National Assembly on Friday (April 7).

The President said, "The brave, brave sons of the nation have given us an independent sovereign country in exchange for millions of lives. It is our responsibility to accelerate the progress of this country and the nation."
He said, standing in this great national parliament, one of the main pillars of a democratic state, I am calling on the people of the country regardless of party affiliation - let's join the collective efforts of everyone from the conflict-ridden and from any extremism and destructive activities to form a welfare-oriented state.
