The government has decided to release BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's sentence for 6 months and release her on any occasion.
Law Minister Anisul Haque said this in a press conference at his residence in Gulshan on Tuesday afternoon.
The law minister said that he has given his opinion on the issue of liberation in accordance with the 401 sub-section of section 401 on the condition of not going abroad. The opinion has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs. From there, the next decision will be taken. The decision was made on the instructions of the Prime Minister for humanitarian reasons.
