RAB arrested a person named Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, a fugitive accused in the embezzlement case of crores of rupees in the name of Bhuta Secretary and Journalist, from Chittagong city.
On Wednesday (May 17), RAB-7's press release said that on Tuesday (May 16) RAB arrested him from GEC Moz area of Chittagong city. Two cases related to embezzle and fraud of money have been filed against him in Dhaka's Sherbangla Nagar and Uttara Paschim Thana.
Mozammel Haque Chowdhury himself is sometimes a secretary of the government, sometimes a journalist and sometimes a senior government official, under the LGRD Ministry, he has embezzled crores of money from retired government officials, teachers and general public by talking about various ministries including Milkvita Project, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Water Resources.
RAB-1 raided the house of Dhanmandi in Dhaka on May 9 to arrest Mozammel Haque Chowdhury. However, he went to the palite of the day.
