The police said that Rashed Khan, the leader of the quota protection movement and the joint convener of the Bangladesh General Student Rights Protection Council, has been arrested.
He was arrested from Bhashantek area of Mirpur-14 this afternoon.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media and Public Relations Department Deputy Commissioner-DC Masudur Rahman has said that Rashed Khan has been arrested in the ICT Act case.
Hasan Al Mamun, convenor of Bangladesh General Student Rights Protection Council, said that DB police picked up three people including Rashed Khan from house number 12 of Mazumdar Read in Bhashantek Bazar area of Mirpur-14. The other two are Mahfuz Khan and Suman Kabir, the joint convener of the council.
