Transport and Bridges Minister Obatadul Quader has said that public transport will be closed from tomorrow (April 5).
He said, however, goods transportation, emergency services, fuel, medicine, perishable, relief transport, newspapers, garments will be exempted from the ban.
He told reporters in the capital on Sunday that he said, ‘Public transport will be closed until further notice from tomorrow.
Earlier on Saturday, Obatadul Quader said in a press conference at his official residence in Dhaka, ‘The government has decided to lockdown for a week from Monday (April 5) across the country from Monday (April 5).
