But on Monday afternoon, one of the producers of the film ‘Pippa’, Siddharth Raka Kapoor, made a statement keeping this controversy in mind. They made a post on social media in this context. It was written there, ‘The situation that has been created around this song, as producer, director and music director, we have made the song for the sake of art after taking propriety from the Nazrul family.‘
Along with this, the producers wrote, ‘Kazi Nazrul Islam and his creation have deep respect for his creation.’ Along with Nazrul's daughter-in-law Kalyani Kazi and his son Kazi Anirban, the ownership of this song was also given in that statement.
Notably, on behalf of Nazrul's family, Anirban said that the lyrics could not be changed even if the lyrics were used, but in the statement, Raita Kapoor Films said, ‘Our purpose was to pay tribute to the historical significance of the song. The use of the lyrics and the change in the melody have been done according to the agreement.’
