Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the entrepreneurs of Canada to invest in Bangladesh, especially in the agricultural sector.
The Prime Minister made this call when Canada's International Minister of Development Harjit S Sajjan made this call when he met the Prime Minister at his official residence Ganabhaban on Friday.

Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh is currently all over the country 100 Special Economic Zones are set up in the UK, and Canadian investors can invest in the economic zones to promote agricultural processing industries or any other industries.
He said that his government is emphasizing the development of agricultural processed industries to meet the local needs as well as export the processed food.
Referring to Bangladesh a small country with a large population, the Prime Minister said that his government is trying to significantly increase the production of a small area in the aim of providing food to the local people and supporting other countries for food export or food. The visiting Canadian minister said that his country is interested in agricultural cooperation with Bangladesh, especially food preservation and development of small farmers, while he praised the development of agriculture and education in Bangladesh, and also praised the development of a farm in Ganobhaban Complex, Sheikh Hasina's residence.
In this regard, Sheikh Hasina informed the Canadian minister about her government's move to promote small farmers, she said that the government is providing them with subsidy for irrigation, agricultural machinery and agricultural mechanization and is providing support to them under many other programs.
The Prime Minister said the government has launched a small funding programme, which can save money and borrow money from it under the programme, he said, adding that the government is now focusing on collecting rainwater instead of groundwater for irrigation and using groundwater.
The Prime Minister sought the cooperation of the other partners from Cox's Bazar for the repatriation of the forced displaced Rohingyas to their motherland, and sought their help to expand more areas in the island of Bhasanchar in the island of Nokhali in order to transfer more Rohingyas from Cox's Bazar to their tranquil shelter.
Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh has built an eco-friendly residence in Bhasanchar with its own funds to provide better living conditions for the Rohingyas. He said that several Rohingyas have already been shifted to Bhasanchar, and more Rohingyas can be transferred from Cox's Bazar if they are expanding the area, he said, saying that more Rohingyas can be transferred from Cox's Bazar.
The Prime Minister said that some Rohingyas have been involved in various crimes like human and drug trafficking and internal conflict in Cox's Bazar. There has been an inhumane environment for women, especially children and adolescents, and they will get a fair environment if they go to Bhasanchar.
Highlighting the issue of Jalbatu change, Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh is mainly focusing on adaptation and mitigation, which is the problem of the water change, which is being solved by local means.
He said that the government focused on reducing the loss of life and livelihood in natural disasters, he mentioned that the coastal area has been created in the coastal area, cyclone registry, and green belt.
