Yunus Ali, a raw material trader in Shailkupa market, told the media that he sells 2 to 3 maunds of green chillies every day, and he could not buy 10 kg of pepper on Saturday, which he got was selling at the rate of 1000 taka per kg.
He said that he bought 800 rupees from the wholesale market of one kg of green chillies. The price of pepper is 1000 rupees overnight, he said, the pepper that came from India is not coming anymore.
Because of this, green chillies are not available.
Buyer Azizur Rahman said, the price of one kilogram of green chillies is 1000 taka.
