Laxmipur Raipur Municipality has announced a budget of Tk 63 crore for the financial year 2023-24.
Municipal metro Gitas Uddin Rubel Bhat announced this budget in the municipal hall on Sunday (June 25) afternoon.
The announced budget has shown more interest in the development and infrastructure sector, but no new tax has been imposed in this budget, while Laxmipur 2 Constituency Member of Parliament Advocate Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan was present as the chief guest.
In the budget, the construction of Bangabandhu's beautiful mural in Ratpur city, heavy renovation of the main cult, construction of children's park, construction of new municipal building, construction of 2 and 35 floors of the municipal supermarket under construction, the budget announced in the development and beautification sector of the central bus terminal. These sectors will be presented as a sector of government grants and donor organizations' promised projects.
The budget will show a huge amount of money in municipal scholarships and felicitations, sports, cultural and tree plantation sectors. In all millets, 63 crore 97 lakh 17 thousand 990 rupees and equivalent amounts are shown in the budget.
In the question and answer of the reporters, Municipal Metro Rubel Bhatt said that Ratpur Municipality is a traditional institution, we are working to make this institution a modern city, the current government is coming to give full cooperation in this regard.
He said that very soon Ragpur municipality will be cleared of traffic and footpaths and waste management will be brought more modern.
Executive Engineer of Samat Municipality Kamrul Hasan, Municipal Secretary Abdul Quader, Accounting Officer Mo Shahadat Hossain, Councilors of 9 Otarards of the Municipality and Councilors of Reserved Seats were present.
