In various villages of Laxmipur Kamalnagar upazila, there are several unauthorized brick kilns in wood, but the administration has not taken steps to stop it for years, but the administration has put 20 brick kilns, including 9 drum chimney (Bangla) and these brick kilns are being used as water. The environment is being polluted and the environment is being destroyed.

The upazila is mostly using the brick kilns every day as fuel, while talking to the kiln workers, it is known that the wood is collected by tractors and the brick kilns have been running for years.

It has been seen that the upazila's Char Qadira Unite is owned by Advocate Belal, M/s Akash Bricks owned by Md. Arif Hossain, M/s Sumayta Bricks owned by Bahar Molla, Mr.
According to Kamalnagar Upazila Land Office, in November 2022, Mersus LBM, Mercas Medina Bricks, Bhabaniganj Fenders Brix, Char Basu village Akash Brix and Char Jangalita village in December 2022, but the owner did not destroy the situation after a while.
According to Articles 12 and 4(2) (3) of the Environment Protection Act-1995 (Amended-2010), it is a crime to set up brick kilns in cropland or next to cropland. However, it is not a crime to set up brick kilns in the cropland or on the cropland. However, the locals have complained that no action has been seen against these brick kilns of Kamalnagar upazila, which is not seen by the administration or the Department of Environment. They said that those who are doing it are doing the same.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Suchitra Ranjan Das said that the upazila administration will continue the operation of the illegal brick kiln with the banning of these illegal brick kilns, including the banning of the wood kilns, and we have warned them with fines in the management of the illegal brick kiln.
