Kamalnagar Representative:
A mobile court has fined two people including fishermen for catching and making jatka in Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur.
On Sunday (December 8) evening, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Masudur Rahman Molla of the mobile court gave this order.
Those who are fined are - Giants Uddin (26) son of Shah Alam Biswas of Char Uvuti village of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Bhabaniganj Uniron, Md. Farooq (22), son of Abdul Majid of Patarihat Unit of Kamalnagar Upazila.
The upazila fisheries officer said that in the afternoon, the police arrested both of them in the afternoon to catch jatka from the Meghna river in Motirhat area and to make jatka. Farooq ordered 15 days imprisonment without paying a fine of 1000 taka.
