Demonstration demanding the release of 3 teachers including principal in Kamalnagar

Laxmipur: Students protested demanding the release of 3 teachers including Abdul Motaleb, Principal of Hajihat Coast Degree College of Kamalnagar Upazila of Laxmipur.
Thursday (03 August) around 10 am The former and current students of the college held a protest march and started the procession from the college campus and went to the upazila parishad premises and later they again stayed in front of the college in front of the college in Ramgati-Laxmipur.
Former students Miraj Hossain Shanto, Kazi Nishad, Mohin, 12th class students of the college, Satem, Fahad, Anik, Golap and Sabbir of class 11 spoke demanding the release of Esmu teachers.
On Wednesday (02 August) at noon from ACC's Notakhali Regional Office, College Principal Abdul Motaleb, Assistant Professor (Management) Fakhrul Islam and Lecturer (Computer) Akhter Hossain was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Abdur Rob Chowdhury, a lecturer (statistics) in the case, said that from 1996 to 2004, teachers Fakhrul Islam, Akhtar Hossain and Nurul Karim Azad (assistant professor, Islam Education) took jobs in the college with fake certificates from 1996 to 2004.
According to ACC sources, the investigation will be conducted to find the truth of the complaint initially. In this, three people including the principal of the college will be arrested. Another assistant professor Nurul Karim Azad will be checked and legal action will be taken after verifying the documents.
