Kamalnagar upazila administration has fined 7 traders for not selling beef at a higher price than the fixed price and not listing the price.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Rahatuz Zaman conducted this special operation on the occasion of Ramadan.
On Sunday (30 March) in the upazila, the upazila administration of Hazir Hat Bazar conducted the mobile court with the cooperation of Hazir Hat Bazar in the upazila. 7 traders were fined Tk 17,000 for selling meat at a higher price and no price list at the shop of Hazir Hat Bazar, Zainal Abedin, Md. Jasim, Md. Belayet, Amir Hossain, Md. Zahir, Main Uddin.
Kamalnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Rahatuz Zaman said, as part of regular market monitoring, 7 traders have been fined for selling beef at a higher price than the fixed price and not a price list, including keeping the daily essential commodities prices of Ramadan at a tolerable level.
