The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has informed in the invitation that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially inaugurate the MNP service at Ganabhaban that morning, leaving the mobile number unchanged.
Meanwhile, in view of the demands of the operator and customers, the cost of MNP service is going to be reduced, Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Mustafa Jabbar has said that it is going to be reduced.
To avail MNP service, a customer has to count 157 taka 50 patsa for the new SIM and MNP charge of the desired operator. In this, MNP charge is 50 taka and VAT is 7 taka 50 pa. and the customer has to pay 100 taka for sim credit.
The customer has to pay the fixed fee at the service center of the desired operator and change the old SIM and get a new SIM. If the service is launched within 72 hours of the application to get MNP service, he will not be able to change the operator for the next 90 days.
Telecom Minister Mustafa Jabbar said on Thursday (October 18) that a proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Finance for the remission of 100 rupees for the change of SIM, which has left an official announcement on this issue.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak will be the special guest at the MNP service inauguration ceremony under the chairmanship of the Minister of Telecommunications.

The government launched MNP service on October 1. The company announced the launch of MNP in a press conference at BTRC building on October 1. The MNP service provider Infoziliton Teletech BD is providing this service.
On November 30 last year, Bangladesh and Slovenin's joint consortium Infosilitat BD Teletech was called through mobile operators in the country. Licenses are issued to provide MNP services.
At least 1 percent of the country's mobile customers within 6 months of the operation, 5 percent within a year and 10 percent within five years will have to come under the scope of service.
According to the conditions of the MNP policy, the annual license fee is Tk 25 lakh, Revenue Shearing (from the second year) at the rate of 15 percent and the Social Constituent Fund will be paid 1 percent of the annual audited and 1 percent of the annual audited year from the second year.
According to BTRC data, currently 72 countries in the world MNP service has been launched in neighboring India in 2011 and MNP service in Pakistan was launched in 2007. The MNP service will be launched in 2017. The operators will increase the quality of service.
