Shantana Khatun (28), a garment worker, was killed in a truckload of garments in Sirajganj's Panchli.
In this incident, her husband Abdul Majed and Maksuda Khatun were injured and they were admitted to the hospital.
The accident took place on Friday morning at the Panchlita Bazar area of Bangabandhu Bridge West Link.
The deceased Shantana is the wife of Abdul Maje of Subail Sarkar Paja village of Gobindganj upazila of Gaibandha district.
Hatikumrul Highote Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Lutfar Rahman said that Abdul Majed was going to Gaibandha from Dhaka to celebrate Eid with his wife and baby daughter on a motorcycle. When they reached Panchlita Bazar area, Shantana Begum was hit by a truck loaded with cement and Shantana Begum was crushed under the wheel of the truck and died on the spot.
The body was recovered and kept in police custody, the driver and helper The truck was seized even when it was found. #
