According to the decision of the cabinet, the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification extending the upcoming Eid-ul-Azhar holiday by one day.
This notification signed by Deputy Secretary Sonita Hasan was issued by the Ministry on Tuesday (June 20).
It said the government had declared a general holiday on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha on Tuesday, June 27. But emergency services will be out of this holiday.
It is said in the notification that the leave of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and banks, insurance and other financial institutions will be determined by the respective authorities.
Earlier, on Monday (June 19) in the presence of the Prime Minister, a decision was made to take a day off in a cabinet meeting in his office.
Later, in a briefing at the Secretariat, the Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain said that it is usually closed for one day before Eid, so that on that day, all the people leave together, which will put a lot of pressure on the sphere, and therefore there will be a public holiday on June 27.
