A legal notice has been given to the concerned to fix the price of hilsa fish at a maximum of 700 taka per kg.
Supreme Court lawyer Khandaker Hasan Shahriter sent the notice on Sunday (September 29).
In the notice, the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, the Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, the Director General of the Directorate of National Consumer-Right Protection, the Chairman of the Bangladesh Competition Commission, the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue and the Head of the Department of Import and Exports have been made defendants.

Otherwise, the notice has also mentioned that the writ will be filed in the High Court.
Earlier, a legal notice was sent to the interim government on September 22 to protest the permission to export 3,000 tons of hilsa to India. But the necessary action was not taken in the same manner as the specific summary was filed in the High Court on September 25. At the same time, the writ also sought a permanent ban on the export of hilsa in the Padma, Meghna.
