The ward councilor Erfan Salim, son of Dhaka-7 MP Haji Selim, and his bodyguard Mohammad Zahid, have been jailed for one year by RAB's mobile court, RAB Executive Magistrate Sorother Alam gave them the sentence.
Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, Director of Legal and Medium Wing, gave this information in a press briefing on Monday evening.
He said that two people were sentenced to imprisonment for six months and six months for keeping illegal weapons.
