Reporter, Rajshahi: The ruling Awami League has appointed the Dalit candidate for the 12th National Parliament election. The party officially released the list of candidates for 300 seats in the press conference on Sunday afternoon at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue.
The party has not officially announced it till now, but it has been finalized in a continuous meeting from Thursday. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held an exchange meeting with the nominees at Ganabhaban after 10 am on Sunday before the publication of the list of candidates.
3,362 people have bought the nomination form of Aomi League this year. In the last 2018 11th National Assembly elections, 56 MPs from his previous parliament did not get the party nomination form, and in the 2014 election, 49 people were nominated in the previous parliament.
Omar Farooq Chowdhury Rajshahi-1 (Tanor-Godagani), Mohammad Ali Kamal Rajshahi-2 (Sadar), Asaduzzaman Asad Rajshahi-3 (Paba-Mohanpur), Abul Kalam Azad Rajshahi-4 (Baghmara), Abdul Wadud Dara Rajshahi-5 (Puthita-Durgapur) and Mohammad Shahriar Alam Rajshahi-6 (Bagha-Charghat).
