Abu Abbas College Branch Chhatra League has conducted anti-ragging and sexual harassment campaign in Abu Abbas College.
They launched this campaign titled ‘Awareness Campaign Against Ragging and Sexual Harassment in Campus’ at 12:00 pm on Thursday (March 2).

The campaign ended with a rally around the campaign, which took part in the campaign with awareness placards and banners related to ragging and sexual harassment.
In the rally, Haseeb Ibn Hannan Ridham, joint general secretary of the district, said that if there is an incident like ragging, the college authorities will be called to be more active in this issue. If the new student is involved in the incident like ragging-sexual hazards, there will be a maximum penalty for him.
College Chhatra League President General Secretary said, Bangladesh Chhatra League is never in favor of ragging-sexual harassment. Today we have stood against the ragging and sexual harassment that happens in every college in Bangladesh. We will take zero-tolerance policy and organizational measures against the BCL workers who are also involved in the Ragging. I will call on every leader and worker of the Chhatra League to support the new students in order to be with the new students in their own way.
Recently, Phulpari Khatun, a first year student of Kushtitar Islami University, was tortured and ragging. Islami University Chhatra League vice-presidents Sanjida Chowdhury Antara and Tabassum Islam were tortured in the public room of Deshratna Sheikh Hasina Hall from 11:00 am to 3:00 am.
In this context, on February 26, the Central Executive Council of the Bangladesh Chhatra League held a procession and rally in the Dhaka University (DU) campus to protest against the sexual abuse and ragging of students in the universities across the country. Today, Abu Abbas College Chhatra League took this anti-ragging program.
Abu Abbas College Principal Abul Kalam Azad, Senior Teachers, Municipal Chhatra League Joint Agrant (1) Zahid Hasan Marg, Joint Agbath Sultan Mahmud Shirley, Ashiq Noor along with district, upazila and various unit leaders and leaders were also present.
