Today (February 22), World Scout Day. The day is being celebrated in 217 countries around the world including Bangladesh. Pir 40 Million Scout and Girls Guide is celebrating this day.
On this day in 1857, Lord Baden Powell, the proponent of the Scouting movement, was born and started the Scouting movement in 1907. Hence, February 22 is celebrated worldwide as Scout Day.
Although the scouting movement started in 1907 AD, the journey of scouting in our region (in the Indian subcontinent) started during the British period and after the partition of the country in 1947, the journey of East Pakistan Bottom Association began.
