The word Shabbat is derived from Persian. In Persian, Shab means night. In Arabic it is called Lailatul Mubaraka. In the Hadith Sharif, the night is referred to as the daytime night of the month of Lailatul Nisfe Shaban or the half of the month of Shaban.
Therefore, the night before the 14th day of Shaban is very holy and glorious to the devout Muslims of the world, according to the hadith, Allah Almighty determines the fate of His servants. The devout Muslims will be engrossed in Nafal Namaz, recitation of the Holy Qur'an and Zikir in the hope of the graciousness of Allah.
