Inflation in August this year has increased by 9.92 percent. Inflation in July compared to July has been 0.23 percent. On Sunday, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has released an update on inflation, where the inflation rate has reached 9.92 percent in August.
According to BBS data, the total inflation rate of the country in August was 9.92 percent, which was 9.52 percent in August last year, which was 5.54 percent in August 2021.
Meanwhile, the country's overall inflation has been going down for several months, including 9.69 percent in July this year, 9.74 percent in June and 9.94 percent in May. This rate was highest in the last year in the last year.
According to BBS data, overall food inflation in August was 12.54 percent, in the previous month i.e. July, the rate was 9.76 percent and food inflation in August was 2.78 percent.
