The opposition party of Bangladesh, BNP, has called for a ‘non-cooperation movement’ until the current government led by Sheikh Hasina is overthrown.
The party's spokesperson and senior secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made this announcement at a virtual press conference on Wednesday, quoting the party's acting chairman Tarek Rahman, who has been citing the election of the party's acting chairmen, Tarek Rahman, for the election of the seventh January, tax and utility bills or not being paid.
“Illegal government has no alternative to non-cooperation. Avoid dummy elections on the seventh Jan. You don't go to the polling station, it's your right. The officials and employees should refrain from exempting their responsibilities,” said Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, while calling on the government to suspend the tax, taxes and utilities bills.
