Press Council got a week to close unregistered news portal

The Press Council has been able to comply with the High Court's order to close the unregistered news portal for a week.

On September 14, the High Court ordered the closure of all unregistered news portals, registered 92 online news portals attached to the writ petition, and the BTRC chetterman and press council chetterman will take steps to stop the court order to take immediate action.

Then on September 28, BTRC had informed the High Court that the list of all online news portals and unregistered online news portals registered with the Ministry of Information will be taken to stop the unregistered online news portals once the list is received.
