Own Correspondent: Like the rest of the country, Laxmipur Sadar has ordered the closure of brick kilns to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shafiqur Ridotan Arman Shakeel gave this instruction through a letter on Thursday (March 26) afternoon.
The letter mentions that all brick kilns in Laxmipur Sadar Upazila have been declared closed to prevent the spread of coronavirus, and the instruction will remain in force till April 4. The workers will stay in their respective areas.
In this regard, UNO Shafiqur Ridotan Arman Shakeel said, "Many workers work in brick kilns. Therefore, the brick kilns have been declared closed to ensure the quarantine. If the ban is violated, legal action will be taken."
