The Army Administration will be involved in the Department of District and District Magistrates to prevent the spread of coronavirus and the district and district magistrates to take social distancing and precautionary measures to facilitate the spread of the coronavirus.
Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anotarul Islam said these things at an emergency briefing at the Secretariat on Monday (March 23) afternoon.
He further said that the army, especially those returning abroad, will review whether the prescribed content is being made/neglected in compulsory coordination.
The District Magistrates shall request the local Army Commander to review the situation by the Army as per the law.
Before this, all types of government services will be closed between police and hospitals, which announced a holiday till April 4.
The Cabinet Secretary said that March 26 is a public holiday, with a weekend holiday on 27-28. Along with this, a general holiday is being declared from April 29 to 2. On April 3-4, the weekend is again. But the drug stores and the raw market will be open.
In the briefing, Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anotarul Islam, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Senior Secretary of Public Security Department, Secretary of Health Care Department, Information Secretary, Principal Staff Officer, Chief Information Officer (PIO) are present in the briefing.
