Own report: Ramgati upazila of Laxmipur destroyed a brick kiln for operating illegal brick kilns and planting wood and fined the owner of two brick kilns.
On March 5 (Thursday) afternoon, the operation was conducted in the unlicensed illegal brick kiln called ‘Parvez Bricks’ located in Char Badam Unitn of the upazila and the chimney of the brick kiln was destroyed.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Suchitra Ranjan Das conducted the operation.
During the operation, the owner of ‘Pervez Bricks’ brick kiln was fined Tk 20,000 and the owner of the ‘Popular Bricks’ brick kiln Tk 10,000 was fined.
