Lakshmipur ;; Increasing the production of hilsa and protecting Jatka in the Meghna river of Lakshmipur has been banned in March-April (two months) of all types of fish including Jatka. In this ban, Kamalnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Mubarak Hossain has conducted raids at various places in the Meghna river in Kamalnagar.
On Sunday (March 1) to make Jatka's campaign a success, UNO Mubarak Hossain visited various parts of the Meghna river in Kamalnagar from afternoon to evening. A group of Coast Guard including Abdul Quddus was with him.
On Saturday (Feb 29) from 12:00 PM, the fishermen have stopped fishing in the Meghna River, along with the Coast Guard patrols, along with the Coast Guard, and the Fisheries Department, the police and the administration are active in the river.
According to the fisheries office, the fish sanctuary is a 100 km Meghna river area from Shatanal in Chandpur to Ramgati in Lakshmi. The fishing shelter will be roamed for two months.
Kamalnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Mubarak Hossain said that fishing is prohibited in the Meghna River Abhashram area for two months in March-April. No fishing boats were seen in the river in the afternoon. Thanks to all the fishermen for being respectful of the law.
Laxmipur District Fisheries Officer Md Billal Hossain said, "Let the fishermen be distributed by fishing in the district from March 1 to April 30 in the production of hilsa in the protection of Jatka and the production of hilsa.
