The Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance has resolved the existing salary disparity of all head teachers and assistant teachers in government primary schools.
According to the new guidelines, from now on all the major ‘Teachers’ National Pay Scale, 2015' will get salary in 11th grade (Tk 12500-30230) and all assistant teachers will get salary in 13th grade (Tk 11000-26590. In the new structure, assistant teachers have advanced to the salary grade."
The untrained and untrained assistant teachers have been agitating to eliminate the pay disparity, with the demand for this demanding primary education. They also threatened to make the final examination and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education sent a letter to the Ministry of Finance on October 28 to resolve the salary disparity.
On November 7, the implementation of the Finance Department of the Finance Department, the letter in this regard from the ICT Division-1 Division of the Ministry of Finance to resolve the salary disparity was sent to the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
After this letter from the Finance Department, there was no discrimination in the salary of head teachers and assistant teachers who were trained and untrained.
In the 2015 National Pay Scale, the salary of currently trained headmaster was Tk 12500-30230 (Grade-11) and the salary scale of the untrained head teacher was Tk 11300-24680 (Grade-14).
The Finance Department has fixed the salary scale of the head teacher at Tk 12500-30230 (Grade-11) in both cases that are trained and untrained.
On the other hand, the pay scale of trained assistant teachers was Tk 10200-24680 (Grade-14) and the pay scale of untrained assistant teachers was Tk 9700-23490 (Grade-15)
The finance department has increased the pay scale to Tk 11000-26590 (Grade-13) for both the trained and untrained assistant teachers.
It has been said in the letter that the promotion of salary grade of teachers will be effective from the date of issuance of grant order of the administrative ministry.

The 13th grade of the assistant teachers, who were trained and untrained, was in this grade for 12 years, and they continued to advance for 12 years.
