In the Kamalnagar-Ramgatti by-election in Laxmipur, the vote for the post of Chairman of the Union Parishad has ended, in which Ahsan Ullah Hiran and Hasan Maqsud Mizan were elected with the boat symbol.
Voters apply their right to vote from 9 am to 5 pm on Thursday.
Upazila Returning Officer Md. Akhtaruzzaman said that in the by-election for the post of Chelman, Aotami League nominated candidate Ahsan Ulyah Hiran was elected with 2 thousand 825 votes in the boat symbol. His closest rival Ismail Hossain got the motorcycle symbol 2 thousand 437 votes.
Hasan Maksud Mizan, the candidate of Awtami League in Ramgatite, has won 2,800 votes in the boat symbol. He has got 2,200 votes in the boat symbol. His closest rival Mohammad Miraj (Pineapple) got 2,222 votes.
It is to be noted that the chairman of Charlorn Union Parishad contesting in the upazila election in Kamalnagar and the death of the chairman of the Bharti Union Parishad of Ramgati Upazila, these 2 posts were held for the vacancies.
