A house of journalist named Kazi Makchudul Haque has been stolen from Lakshmipur municipal area.
The incident took place on Friday (January 18) around 8 pm in the house adjacent to Happy Cinema Hall, No. 6 of the municipality.
Laxmipur Additional Superintendent of Police Ritazul Kabir, President of Press Club Kamal Uddin Howladar, in-charge of the city police department. Members of the intelligence police including Solaman visited the spot.
Fatematujjuhura, assistant engineer of Ramgati Upazila Public Health Department, wife of journalist Makchud, said that the thief entered the house by breaking the iron window of the house, which was a laptop, mobile set, cash and 8 loads of gold ornaments.
Fatimatujjuhura also said that they were not at home in the same way.
Md Solaman, in charge of Laxmipur city police department, said that efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
