Kamrul Hasan Russell, Joint General Secretary of Rakhtpur Upazila Aomi League of Laxmipur, was arrested by Gotenda (DB) Police. He was arrested in front of the court building in Laxmipur District Judge on Tuesday (November 3) at noon.
However, the police did not immediately know on the charges or in which case he was arrested.
Earlier on November 14, 2025, the law enforcement forces arrested Kamrul Hasan Russell in the Panch Unana Board (Paubo) area of Rathpur city on the night of 14 November 2025. The next day on November 15, he was sent to jail by the court after seeing the case of the anti-discrimination movement on August 5, 2024.
His close friends know that he was released on bail recently after serving three months in prison in that case.
The local leaders and activists of Aomi League have expressed anger and condemnation of his arrest, they claim that Russell has been jailed before, but this poison has received an official statement from the police.
