In Bhola, a discussion meeting was held on the welfare of mothers, children and teenagers on social and behavior change.
The meeting was held on Tuesday (8 September 2026) at 10 am in the conference room of Tajumaddin Upazila Parishad and the meeting was held in the association of Sushilan and UNICEF. The chief guest was Tajumuddin Upazila Nirbahi Officer Boni Amin. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Mahbub Kabir was the special guest.
Sajib Rahman, who co-authored the social and behavior change project for the welfare of mothers, children and adolescents, conducted the meeting and the training and monitoring officer of the project was conducted by Marufa Sultana, the training and monitoring officer of the project.
The project aims, activities and implementations are presented through the Sum Multimedia, which will be discussed in the health, nutrition, safe motherhood of the mother and child, health awareness of adolescents, life skills, child marriage prevention and child protection.
The speakers said that many mothers and children are deprived of health care due to social prejudice, poverty and ignorance, family, society, administration and related institutions should work together to stop child marriage and physical and mental abuse of children.
The meeting should be emphasized on taking care of pregnancy and postnatal health care, birth registration of children, increasing public contact with government services and raising awareness about child protection complaint remedial measures.
