Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bakul said that all the 50-bed hospitals in the country will be upgraded to 100 beds within the next six months. At the same time, 10-bed kidney delivery units will be set up in all upazila hospitals of the country to ensure that the treatment of kidney patients is at the local level, so that they do not go to Dhaka for treatment.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the distribution ceremony of seeds, lemon seedlings and fertilizers among farmers at Manohardi Upazila Parishad premises of Narsingdi on Friday (July 3) afternoon.
The minister said, “The government is working to ensure the overall welfare of the people as well as the overall welfare. Only the Ministry of Health is not working in various sectors related to the needs of the people.”

At the end of the program, the health minister distributed financial incentives, rutin and dry food as part of humanitarian support among the needy and helpless people in the upazila meeting.
