BNP Chairman Tariq Rahman has been unanimously elected as the leader and prime minister of parliament for the 13th national election.
After the oath of the newly elected members of BNP in the National Assembly, the meeting of the parliamentary party was held under the chairmanship of Tariq Rahman. There, Tariq Rahman was unanimously elected as the leader and prime minister of the parliament.
Earlier on Tuesday (February 17) around 11:15 PM, the newly elected Members of Parliament (MP) of the 13th National Assembly took oath in the oath room of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin read out the oath of the parliamentarians.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by local and foreign guests, and at the beginning of the event, the new legislators spoke to the new legislators, Salahuddin Ahmad, a member of the BNP standing committee, who announced the decision to the constitution reform council.
According to the schedule, at 4 pm in the South Plazat of Sangsad Bhavan, President Md Sahabuddin will take oath to President Md Sahabuddin as Prime Minister and new ministers will be sworn in today evening from the Cabinet Department and the new ministers' office distribution and official notification will be issued.
