I mentioned in a post yesterday that the award ceremony of the manifesto of the Jamaat did not reach me. I have faced another tragic experience today.
I have no claim to get my gift, but a journalist has the right to find out the reason for not getting the gift.
Especially when the concerned party has been providing news for a long time, the national daily Janakantha newspaper.
The sad reality is that in many cases, those whose writing is strong, professional integrity, are deprived of the respect they deserve, and just to the contrary, some of the nominal journalists—who are not familiar with the basic principles of journalism—are appearing in the world because of political selves or persuasion.
In the 35 years of journalism, Manavzamin and Janakantha newspaper have worked together for more than two years, among the current members of Ratpur Press Club, there is no one else involved in journalism before me.
Zahir's brother and Harun Bhai are very happy. Mintu has left the club with pride and humiliation and has taken the upazila press club to the community.Attor Monir and ABM Ripon are still working with reputation with Zealat Samakal and Prothom Alo.
In the name of filling the void of these seniors, some dressed people came to the top of the country, who did not want to understand the profession in their hearts. Rather, they have pressed decisions at will by being a leader.
Some have certification certificates, but they do not have the minimum qualifications to write, and they are still surviving with power due to the identity of the top strata of the political party.
My position in the order of Sinitari is in two rooms. My writing is appreciated by everyone in Sinita-Juni, I am saying this out of pride, truth, the desire to present myself. But I cannot deny the philanthropy as an old journalist.
The question of whether there is a second and innocent journalist like me in the polling field also comes up again and again, as a result of which the image of the press club has been tarnished one after the other, especially since the 2015 committee, a new level of insult and neglect has been added to the journalists.
In 2026, a party like BNP in the same important issue as the national election did not feel the need to invite a senior journalist like me to the manifesto announcement ceremony—it is not just a personal problem, it is a big question. Here is a screenshot of a similar experience for Jamaat.
I would like to believe that these are not the policy decisions of a party, but rather the long-standing activities of some unqualified, party-based and dishonestly named journalists, because of them, the real good journalists and writers are today oppressed, humiliated and neglected, this situation is necessary. The writers and journalists should not take the initiative to take an active and charitable role in the society for the sake of society.
